Hot off the press – CHRF is beginning 2018 with exciting news! Dr. Samir Saha has been elected to Fellowship in the American Academy of Microbiology. This fellowship recognizes his excellence, originality and leadership in the microbiological sciences.

On the 20th of February 2021, Prof Samir Kumar Saha won Bangladesh’s second highest civilian award, the prestigious Ekushey Padak, for his contribution to research.
In 2018, we got a small grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to buy our first next-generation sequencing machine – it was a small machine called the iSeq100. It had just been released, and we got the first one in Bangladesh.
